Over the Big Top is a community concert and and circus stage show featuring Rocky and the Continentals, Nash Abrahams (from the hit TV show Little Big Shots”), and an international circus cast (including Ben Christensen). This show will be performed in Canton, MI at Connection Church on September 10th. Concert at 6:00, Circus at 7:00. “I’m excited to share the stage with such great talent. My dad, Randy Christensen is the former president of the World Clown Association and I always love performing with him. He will be here for the show. Since he lives in Minnesota and I live in Michigan we do not get to perform together as much as we used to. Now I really cherish the opportunity!” -Ben Christensen Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids or $40 for families. They can be purchased at www.connectionchurch.info
Remember the pictures from the Tiny Circus? They were great right? Well now we are trying to do something special with them. With the Kickstarter campaign currently running, the Tiny Circus Children’s book is not too far from becoming a reality. Live shots from live shows will be featured along with simple narration in this book geared for young children. Pictured in the book are: Clown – Ben Christensen, Show Assistant – Christine Christensen, Juggler – Will Oltman, Clown – Braden Eaton, Clown – Nathan King, Mime – Dawn Day To support the project or to get your own copy, check out the kickstarter campaign running now through December 20th, 2015. Every dollar gets us one step closer to making this little project a reality. Thank you for your help!
Last year we had a great time performing the Tiny Circus in Michigan. We had over 800 people see the show. 6 performers were involved for 3 shows. During all three shows a gospel message was shared. See the highlight reel from last year’s show here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJAEtQ8zb5o This year we are currently working on securing a number of new acts and bringing back some of last years favorites. We hope to continue where we left off from last year with juggling, clowns, rope-walking, balancing stunts, and even add in a performing pig! This show is set up as an outreach for churches and we try to keep the cost low. We are looking for more church venues to host us. The cost is $250 plus a love offering the night of the performance. The $250 is what we need to cover expenses (posters, online promotion, props and supplies). The love offering is how we can afford to pay any of the 4 to 10 performers needed for each show. Because of the pricing and the scheduling of a large cast the Tiny Circus is currently only avaialbe for bookings in January and February of 2016. If you are interested in hosting this unique outreach give Ben a call at 320.905.4552 or e-mail him at: email@example.com
We just finished up a very successful first run of the Tiny Circus in West Michigan. What a great audiences! What a great show! There were six in the cast including Dawn Day, Will Oltman, Braden Eaton, Nathan King, Christine Christensen and Ben Christensen. After three great shows we are left saying. “Let’s do that again!” And will we? Let’s just say that we are exploring the possibility of west to Wisconsin for some possible shows this fall. Here are a couple of pictures from the show…
